Spaghetti Sauce
Theoretically, any sauce goes with any pasta. However, in fact there is a much smaller range of sauces which are particularly appropriate to each type of pasta. Spaghetti is by definition long and thin. Its shape and texture will not hold thick sauces was well as it will hold thin sauces. So chunky sauces such as Puttanesca or creamy sauces such as Carbonara are more suited to a more robust type of pasta such as fettucine.
